May, 2024 – TSC designs and builds specialized mounts, power supplies, and collapsible access ladders for special satellite-linked disaster response support vehicles.
April, 2021 – TSC is licensed as a Class A Contracting Company for Electronic Protection Equipment. TSC has a long history of video equipment design, test monitoring, and services to media companies. Some clients asked if TSC could support turnkey surveillance camera systems for their facilities while doing unrelated work. To support these clients, TSC followed the necessary procedures to obtain the licenses required to sell, install, and maintain video surveillance equipment in the state of Mississippi.
September, 2018 – TSC designs and builds the LazerShark, an aerial drone-capable precision dual-beam laser reference viewable in direct sunlight at distances up to 50 meters. It is used for continuous in situ calibration of camera systems for optical measurements on a frame-by-frame basis while inspecting high-voltage power lines.
July, 2018 – TSC develops a low-cost yet high-performance "Wall of Security Cameras" by forking open-source software on Raspberry Pis. Nine low-cost RPIs drive a 2x4 array of TV screens to display one to nine cameras per display.
January, 2016 – TSC announces the first sales of its new patent pending invention, the StripeGauge™, an instrument for measuring the thickness of highway, road and other pavement markings.
February, 2013 – TSC purchases 3D printers and begins providing design and rapid prototyping services for its clients.
May, 2010 – TSC designs the SCATU - Simple Cellular Alarm Telemetry Unit. The first unit is manufactured, sold and deployed to monitor a Sewage Lift Station.
July, 2009 – TSC redesigns and transfers its web site to a new platform. Most company news will now be presented in a blog format. The last several years have been quite in this space due to client confidentiality. Let's just say it has been an interesting few years and we hope to share some of the work and experiences someday.
November, 2008 – TSC assists the popular TV show Mythbusters by tuning the remote control for the "Speed" Movie Bus myth.
July, 2007 – TSC develops a new fluid power transfer device. TSC has developed a new technology for extracting power from open streams, wave action and tidal flows. The device converts fluid movement to angular motion like a water wheel or turbine, but is unique in that turns in the same direction even if the flow is reversed. It is also ideal for extracting power from slow streams. This technology is patent pending.
May, 2007 – TSC provides key technology for disaster recovery service. A company needed a method for non-experts to backup entire computers to offsite storage. TSC developed custom software to automate the backup and encrypt the resulting files to a portable disk. Now the files can be transported by common carrier and stored by a third party without fear of interception or theft.
June, 2006 – TSC technology speeds evidence documentation by 600%. A client needed a "black box" that would significantly speed the documentation process required by law enforcement. TSC designed, built and submitted a manufacturing sample for FCC certification. The first devices were delivered to law enforcement this month.
August, 2004 – TSC delivers to a customer its first remotely controlled all digital DVD production system. The system allows the customer to record and produce DVD and web ready content of an event without a cameraman or conventional editing studio.
March, 2004 - TSC is selected by NASA to continue its research through a Phase II Small Business Innovative Research Initiative (SBIR) award for its proposal Improving Test Operations Through Scalable Video Processing on Computer Clusters.
August, 2003 - TSC finishes development of a custom Manifest, Tracking and Billing system for an trucking company. Using a remote database server, the system synchronizes manifests from the main dispatch office with the invoices generated from the home office. Within the first year of operation over 12,000 shipments are processed.
July, 2003 - TSC finishes development of a custom system for an insurance company to replace its legacy policy accounting. The new system mimics the old, in addition to adding a wealth of modern features including cross-platform capability on Windows XP and Mac OS X systems.
December 18, 2002 - TSC's Launch Controller is used for an a major aerospace company's first sub-orbital launch test of a new propulsion technology. This controller, designed and fabricated by TSC, was used to control propellant loading and launch sequencing for the launch and for hot fire tests. Concept to delivery for the controller took less than three months.
November 2002 - TSC is selected by NASA for a Phase I Small Business Innovative Research Initiative(SBIR) award for its proposal Improving Test Operations Through Scalable Video Processing on Computer Clusters.
July 2002 - TSC wins a grant through the Phase 0 Small Business Innovative Research Initiative(SBIR) competition sponsored by the State of Mississippi. This grant provided funding to participate in NASA's 2002 SBIR Phase 1 competition. The results will be announced in November.
March 2002 - Congratulations to Piney Woods School for another outstanding year! They successfully designed, built and competed with their 2nd robot in the annual "First Robotics Competition" in Houston. The student team advanced all the way to the quarter finals this year. TSC helped by donating engineering expertise, mentors, materials, tools and equipment.
October 2, 2001 - TSC supports Truax Engineering in Excaliber Rocket design. TSC provided electrical control, data acquisition and instrumentation design services that should eventually lead to a reusable target vehicle. (Nov. 6 - This program has now been canceled by the Air Force)

January 6, 2001 - TSC joins Palm Computing and Handspring the two largest manufacturers of PalmOS compatible devices to develop portable knowledge packets for its customers. TSC is a registered developer with both companies.
January 1, 2001 - TSC brings online the AI2002Houston.com web site. The Airliners International 2002 Convention leadership choose TSC's VideComp, Inc. Division to develop and host their informational site for the 2002 convention in Houston Texas.
August 24, 2000 - TSC designed web databases power three more e-commerce sites. Each went online in the last few months using TSC designed web database technology. Built using the award winning FileMaker Pro development system, displaying products and maintaining inventory online is made simple for non-technical users. April 24, 2000 - NASA Licenses Patent by TSC's Own
NASA - John C. Stennis Space Center announced it has licensed a patent on a technology jointly invented by TSC's own W.L. Nail, III. The co-inventors were Tom Koger, Vivian Cambridge, and Patrick Diaz. The technology is being used by ThermoProbe a Jackson Mississippi based company to improve their precision temperature measuring product.
